The use of scuba diving equipment is the best way to get a first-hand underwater experience. The term “scuba” is an acronym for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus, and this equipment allows humans to enter an environment that would otherwise be foreign. While it was first used strictly for scientific exploration, scuba equipment today is often purchased for recreational purposes.

The most important aspect of scuba diving equipment is that it allows the diver to breathe while underwater. In order for this to be accomplished, a quality regulator and oxygen tank are required gear. And of course, because this is the gear that will keep you alive, it is important that one invest the money for a quality breathing set-up.

A mask and fins are also essential elements of diving equipment. A quality mask allows us to more fully take in one’s surroundings and maintain one’s bearings. Fins are the primary means of propulsion while underwater, and as such are very important to the diver.
